Taking Action: A Conversation with Next-Gen Civic Leaders
Date: Wednesday, September 30
Time: 11 am PDT/2 pm EDT
Host: netimpact.org
Description: Next-generation leaders in civic engagement are blazing a new trail for what it means to be civically engaged in 2020. From inspiring peers to vote and become poll workers to contributing to campaigns in key states, young people are reshaping this election and creating the future of democracy. Evan Malbrough, founder of The Georgia Youth Poll Worker Project, will join us to discuss his initiative which has a bold and innovative goal of recruiting 5,000 young poll workers in the state of Georgia for the presidential election. He’ll be joined by Katelyn Sethi, who is working on the ground in Iowa for NextGen America to make sure that young people vote this November. Join us for a conversation with these next-gen leaders to learn more about the ways they are getting involved in this year’s election.
